Celtic Card Thistle Celtic Card: Thistle w Saying: Blessing of God Be With You.
Inside: Blank.
The prickly purple thistle was adopted as the Emblem of Scotland in 1249. Legend has it that an army of Vikings came at that time to conquer the Scots. They arrived at night to surprise the sleeping Clansmen. The army took off their shoes so that they could sneak up silently, but when the soldiers stepped onto the native Scottish thistle they screamed in pain, thus waking the Scots who then easily won the battle.
