This mayonnaise has a pleasant, slightly tart flavour over American mayo. A creamy pale yellow binding agent for sushi roll fillings, like California roll. It can also be used as a base for sushi sauces and baked toppings.

Kewpie Mayonnaise is THE mayonnaise of Japan. First made in 1925 and sold in glass jars it is a yellowier, richer, more creamy and flavoursome mayonnaise than the standard British types. It is made with rice vinegar, instead of distilled vinegar, to make it especially complimentary to Japanese cuisine. It has probably been tried in absolutely every Japanese cooked savoury dish you can think of it's that popular! It is even an obsessive favourite of the Japanese TV star Katori Shingo's! Sandwiches, sushi, salads, noodle dishes, okonomiyaki, and a favourite to fry strips of meat in. Once you have tried Japanese mayonnaise you will never go back!
