Hallmarked sterling silver small luckenbooth brooch, with delicate engraved detail on one side and polished finish on the other, with a heart to the top centre.
Luckenbooth Brooches are so called because they were sold from "locked boothes" in the Royal Mile, Edinburgh in the early 1700's, and were exchanged on betrothal.
Measures approximately 3.5cm (1.5") long.
Hand crafted in Scotland.
