Flag US: Betsy Ross

This is the "traditional" American flag with 13 stars for each of the original colonies and 13 stripes for the same colonies. There is a considerable legend built around the story of a seamstress named Betsy Ross helping George Washington design the flag and then preparing the first one for use. This legend has never been supported by the facts and is regarded by historians as a myth.
However, this flag has long symbolized the humble and simple beginnings of the United States.
